It narrates my childhood, the time of youth \u2014 a dedication to my mother and grandmother, a special dedication to my father, Bartolomeo. I remember the Fig tree \u2014 its body was large and created shade in my grandmother Vincenza\u2019s flowering garden. There, I spent the carefree time of childhood. 3# Nota di Viaggio opens with the milky green of Fig and the bitterness of Artemisia and Bergamot. Everything becomes gentle with time and white \u2014 like the dresses of mothers, like the Sicilian sun. The heart of Ciavuru d\u2019Amuri is a floral bouquet of Jasmine and Ylang-Ylang. They were white flowers, creating reflections of light that still illuminate my eyes with emotion. Evening approached, we returned home after long walks \u2014 the austere notes of Incense and the warm woody notes of Cedar and Sandalwood rest on the sweetness of Benzoin. Everything became familiar to my memory \u2014 like a sacred summer procession. I remember voices softly telling ancient stories; we sat around the table, still there, under the dew of my grandmother\u2019s big Fig tree.
